I bought these by mistake thinking they were glass rhinestones. I looked at so many options that I didn't understand the whole product description. They appear to be glass in the photos but are (as stated in the description) anodized aluminum. However, they are glossy and look good in a project I tried them on. I had a hard time picking them up with my hotfix tool as they immediately stuck to the slab I laid them out on. The metal may transfer heat to the adhesive too quickly. Anyway, I found it easier to use the "hairpin" on the desired location on the fabric and then hold the hotfix tool on it until well bonded. They seem to be holding up well and as I said, looks very nice. I can't comment on how well the color will hold up or wear off over time, but so far I'm quite happy with it. I only wish they were made of glass! In the photos (one with flash, one without), the silver gems that form the "V" are rhinestones.
