The noise level is far from being advertised, it's noticeable even in sleep mode. I was surprised. Anything beyond that and you turn on the TV and speak louder. As another reviewer mentioned, this is pretty much just a glorified box fan with a filter. Definitely overpriced and I agree at this price point it should come with a remote control. I also agree that buying a box fan and (securely) sticking a filter on one side is just as effective, if not more so. At least the box fan pulls air through the back. This device, like many others, blows a lot more air off the top of the device than it sucks in, and in fact it just blows all the dust around. I don't see how effective this is in terms of removing dust and allergens. For now I'll probably leave it as the ambient noise (and some earbuds) helps drown out my elephantine neighbors upstairs, but to be honest I think it's overpriced, may not even do anything and really needs to come with a remote control . I haven't noticed any reduction in allergy symptoms or any other odor in the air other than turning off the unit's gas itself after it's installed. I also find it very handy that they removed the filter reset intervals and it's now just an indicator telling you when they need to be replaced. So basically, it could catch fire prematurely and cost you even more money. It's also a bit ridiculous that there aren't separate settings for each fan speed, as you have to toggle between fan speeds. If I'm in the middle and want to go down, I first have to go through the turbo, which unnecessarily increases engine wear. Not very well thought out. Gee, I'm not even a hot tub engineer. Are we all being driven? Replacement filters are insanely expensive. You should be ashamed. Btw my expensive new fridge sucks too much lol. (No biased review, just saying 😆).
