Hooray, colored lights! :P

I read somewhere that putting this splitter in the signal path can allow me to watch HDCP protected content which my computer wouldn't allow without this splitter, but for me this wasn't the case (problem with The HDCP compatibility was actually caused by a third party adapter that allowed me to connect my monitor's HDMI cable to my 2019 MacBook Pro, which needs an adapter for whatever you want to connect since it only has connectors made by used by very few other hardware manufacturers) . For the simple task of splitting a video signal in two, this adapter works great (although I don't think it would be necessary to use such an adapter with a Mac for this purpose, as the Mac has built-in screen mirroring that does this does, you can just plug multiple monitors directly into your computer and force them all to display the same image). So on the one hand, this adapter didn't perform the function I was told by third parties (at least not when plugged into the signal path between my monitor and the adapter, which actually caused an HDCP compatibility issue) while it was powered on On the other hand, the manufacturer/seller of this item did not claim that the device would *perform* these functions, so the device in no way matches the claims made by the people actually involved in its manufacture and sale were. a plus. ;)

Pros
  • Model "VHD-1X2MN3D" can have two markings: U9 or ViewHD; HDMI 1.3 supports 480i/576i/480p/576p/720p/1080i/1080p + 3D; For a 3D application, both connected displays must support 3D for 3D to work.
