Living in Central Texas where the summer sun can be a scorcher, we needed more protection if we were going to enjoy our patio and outdoor life. Husband (seen sitting in the chair enjoying his handiwork) built the 15x15 pergola and used this material for sunblock. We bought one 110' roll and cut it down to size to cover the top of the pergola. We also doubled the layer of material. It ended up being three strips across, double layer and overlapping. Now we enjoy our patio and can sit outside without burning to a crisp.We probably didn't need to double the layer but we also thought to double the life span of the material.
