The stitching is really bad

First of all I like this hoodie. The color is a perfect violet dark, I don't think it will get dirty given my clumsiness. I have a problem with the stitching, I wore it less than 5 hours while working indoors in the cold. I loved that the sleeves had that elasticated wrist cuff to keep it from dangling all over the place, but it started tearing in the shoulder/groin area. Not sure if I have a defect but ultimately I don't know if it would have survived in a washer/dryer. The material didn't look like it was going to be too crazy.
