We needed a good reading light in the sleeping area of our RV. The caravan manufacturer provided bright overhead lighting, but didn't think about those who needed or wanted to read comfortably in bed. The problem with any RV is where to get the power to add anything inside, let alone reading lights. This product seemed like the perfect fit for me and was honestly my last choice when adding lighting. I figured that this inexpensive option probably wouldn't get my wife's approval and would function more like a toy than anything useful. Something else to buy batteries. The product arrived well packaged and if I do have two of these I have a spare or other option to add a second one later. We found a good spot on the camper wall and placed it exactly where we needed it with the screws provided. What my wife really liked was that one button on/off AND the same button allowed the lights to be dimmed or brightened. The brightness level is also saved when the light is switched off and on again. The remote controls might be something for some people, but I threw them back in the box. (Most things in the RV seem to come with a remote control, and I didn't want to lose another one.) Overall, the brightness is more than enough to read a book. In fact, the woman prefers a darker setting. AA batteries are already standard for most things in a motorhome, so we always have them on hand. The lights are brand new at the moment so I don't know how long they can last. I guess with other LED elements it should still take some time.
