It just works! (Make sure your source is good too!)

I bought two but one was for a customer who still wanted access to their VCR after upgrading a 13 year old TV because the new smart TV didn't have an analogue connection. Options and TBH, there were a few bumps in the road, but it turned out that had nothing to do with this device. The customer put in an old VHS tape that they had never seen but planned on and initially all I could see on the screen was a blue background that said 'No Signal'. Trying the menu on the VCR worked, but we didn't see anything else. I packed it up and got ready to send it back but then it occurred to me that the TV might be interpreting the noisy signal as "No Signal" so I asked for a different/known good tape and was amazed at the picture quality of the one commercial VHS on this 4K screen. I was expecting poor quality and grainy image but to my surprise it was a warm and beautifully enlarged image. The customer then said they might not have gotten it on the first tape but they had never tested it before. ; it was on her to-do list. Make sure you have visible content on your tapes, otherwise your modern TV will choke out the picture noise! I'm glad I bought 2 of these so I can keep 1 as a spare for next time this happens.
