My dog used to have bells, but then he started using them to get my attention in general, so that was a problem. until I switched to these knobs, that is. She learned to use them immediately, I didn't even have to train her. She likes being able to tell me what she wants in particular. She's very small, only 7 pounds, but she has no problem pushing those buttons with just one paw. They're a bit loud, so I put fabric over the speakers to muffle the sound a bit. Now it's better, but still understandable. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know what's really going through their dog's mind.
