So far the duvet is serving its purpose. It's warm, cozy and the weight is good. The Sherpa side will pick up lint from other fabrics, so be careful not to place sweaters or other fabrics that can bunch on it. So far I've been able to tear everything down easily, but over time, as the Sherpa side gets more compact, I may not have been as successful. The fluffy side is very silky and shiny. It's a pleasant feeling on the skin, which I really appreciate. It had some light loss when I first got it, but it seems to have stopped now. The weight is distributed in a square/quilt pattern and I believe it is filled with sand. So if you sit upright with a blanket around you, the sand will move to the bottom of the squares. Also, some of the squares in the center appear a bit lighter than those around the edge. Overall this is a good blanket and I use it every day with good results. At night he hugs you and in the morning it's hard for me to get rid of him.
