Review on Mathlink Educational Counting Learning Resources by Bobby Valadez

Quality with a SERIOUS flaw

I read the reviews and have other products from this brand - all I like - so I decided to try these math cubes to help my preschooler with his homework. Let's talk about the good first: * High quality plastic: bright, attractive colors, thick and durable; this will take years * Homework: Customize the worksheets and work with all kinds of math activities that the teacher wanted to do; it was a great visual helper! * Imagination Play: My kids LOVE using them for all kinds of things! For example: play food and drink, pretend to be food and money, build trucks, pick berries, bury treasure, etc. Cons: * Difficult to assemble! To be honest I thought it couldn't be as difficult as the reviews mentioned. Oh her! Can I put them together? Yes. But not without pain in the heels of my hands when I press and flex. Can my kids assemble them? no Remember that they are under 7 years old. * This also means that the bonus from their connection on the sides is also difficult to realize. General Thoughts: I've been using it for a school year and the shortcut feature doesn't work. Much easier with continued use. Again, they're built to last, and I think I'm more concerned that they won't stay together than that they'll be difficult. However, I will buy a new set that is easier to clip on and keep it as an add-on. My kids love them and they work so I'm not upset I bought them but they could use a bit of improvement and I wouldn't recommend them to friends.
