I've assembled everything from trailers to bikes, cots, baby swings, etc. So I'm not new to poorly written instructions and poorly fitting parts, but it was the worst building experience I've had ever - or was with this grandmother. .My son worked in a furniture store for several years so I asked him to help me build this crib for my grandson. After a very tiring two hours (most of which was spent on the finishing touches, the bed rails), we called a neighbor, a carpenter. After another half hour of frustration and perseverance, the bed was finally set up. The instructions are useless as the parts are not marked according to the diagrams. It wasn't a big problem as my son put a lot of beds together and is very patient, but if I did it myself I would be completely lost. The holes on the side rails weren't lined up and drilled cleanly, making assembly almost impossible as everything had to be lined up exactly to tighten the screws. I would return it but it was basically done when we got to the side rails and took it apart and tried to repackage it and then figuring out how to get such a huge box back was more of a hassle than just going forward. It's finally assembled and my grandson seems to like it, but if I had known how much effort it takes to put it together I would never have bought it. Now I see the price has gone up almost $20. It's not worth it.
