Review on 🚰 Whirlpool Everydrop Ice and Water Refrigerator Filter, EDR5RXD1, Single-Pack by Steve Jones

We usually install a filter and then buy it so we have a new one ready next time. We installed a filter which we kept for six months and our subscription was renewed so we had one on the shelf. Every time the old Pur filter was changed, the water tasted a bit bland for the first few days, but after that it was fine and the Pur filter cut off the chlorine taste well. With this new drop brand, the strong odor reminiscent of cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, etc.) was immediately noticeable and the water tasted stagnant. It was so noticeable on the one we installed after sitting for six months that we reset it and put in the latest subscription and saved the purchase. It still smelled funny at first, but not as strong anymore, so we kept it for about a week. But the smell and taste came back just as strongly. I just pulled out the filter, ran enough water through the fridge to clear the pipes and now the smell and taste are gone. Bad move Jacuzzi! Not only will I never buy your certified filters again, I will never buy another Whirlpool refrigerator. We liked filtering the cold water. I think we will only have cold water for now.
