Conclusion: A pair of stunningly designed Bluetooth speakers that failed catastrophically upon delivery. My second pair works perfectly. Longer story: I've been looking for something stylish to pair with modern living room furniture and I've found nothing more impressive than the Spinnakers, which transform boring black sound boxes into architectural sculptures. They were easy to install. got up and worked perfectly - a couple of months. Great sound at low to medium volume which I prefer easy to control from iPhone. I was very pleased. Then one day they just stopped. The device was still on, the Bluetooth signal still turned blue, but there was no sound. And there are no user-serviceable parts. I was stunned and then dismayed to find several more reports of similar crashes from other buyers. I called Edifier. The lady could not have been more helpful and told me that the problem was fixed and that a new batch of second generation speakers would be arriving in the US soon. She removed my dates (that was early April) and promised they would send me a new pair by mid-May. After that I heard nothing more. She promised me a confirmation email, but nothing came. I was beginning to wonder if I might have to chase them through the Revane when the doorbell rang. Mid-May came and with it the replacement of a pair of loudspeakers. It took me 15 minutes to set them up; currently they work great. Bottom line: They certainly hurt themselves by sending out the first batch of faulty products, and I'm still partially crossing my fingers that the second batch will prove to be more reliable. But I can't fault the product, nor the calm and relatively effective response to my problem. I am very pleased with the sound and beauty of a pair of speakers that are no longer on the market.
