Cheaper option: Mtn Buggy Pod

I was looking for this type of chair because I prefer to have my child sit at a table with the rest of the family rather than in a big, bulky chair in the corner. Now that we have it, I can easily travel with it! This was the second seat I bought for my child but I returned it and kept the Mountain Buggy. Target's version of Chicco was dangerous; My child was able to escape while strapped in (when I tightened the straps to keep her still, she was so far from the table that she couldn't reach it)! I cannot recommend Chicco. Since I had free returns, I bought both the Phil & Ted Lobster (P&T) and Mountain Buggy Pod (MB) to compare at home. Below are some technical specifications. I hope this review helps someone else understand the difference: Compact: MB and P&T are the same size when folded and unfolded. I literally couldn't tell any difference. They are obviously from the same manufacturer as the name "Mountain Buggy" is written on the P&T box. Both come with the same black carry case. Total weight: MB: 2.2 lbs Position and position: 4 lbs Opens to match table depth MB: 2" position and position: 4" Width between arms when MB is installed: 11" position and position 12.5 " Grip Material: MB has rubber on top ; Rubber under P&T has rubber inserts on both top and bottom. Seat fabric: MB and P&T are made of the same fabric. MB Seat Cleaning: Easy Wipe P&T In addition to the easy-to-clean fabric, there is also a mesh fabric on the back of the seat. Seat. I had a feeling that over time this mesh would catch food and be harder to clean. Detachable seat: MB: Detachable P&T: Fixed harness: MB: 2-point harness P&T: 4-point harness (My child cannot get out of the MB seat unless there is a chair underneath to get out of Tablet: MB does not include a tablet (see my note below for compatibility); The P&T includes a tray that I couldn't fit in the chair. In the end, I didn't feel the P&T Lobster was worth the extra $30 over the pod. It's a bit heavier, but I can't say it's more stable. I didn't want to mess with cleaning the mesh cloth (see above) and had trouble attaching the tray that came with it. The only reason I would prefer a P&T Lobster is if my table was over 2 inches thick. Hope that helps!
