I live in Florida and as I've gotten older I've made it a habit to wear a hat (which I often do) every time I go out during the day. As a result, I collected a lot of hats and started throwing them on the chest/seat in the living room. I bought these hooks (actually clips) to finally hang my hats properly and get them out of the way. I attached one of these pegs to each of the 6 risers that go up the stairs in my house and I am very happy with the result. While the caps don't put much weight on the pegs I'm sure the pegs are strong enough to hold much heavier items including coats. They are very easy to install - you just need to make sure there are no air pockets under the adhesive pads by squeezing them from the center to the edges with your fingers or a suitable object e.g. B. a spoon, rub. I have a plain wooden version but I think there is also a lacquered wooden version. I think this is an amazing product for the price.
