Review on Merkur Chrome Safety Razor 39C for Enhanced SEO by Lori Stein

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect to be so surprised!

Well, as the man says: This isn't my first rodeo! I have been shaving with expensive, high-quality Hoffritz safety razors for over half a century. In that time I have owned three excellent Hoffritz razors and never expected to find a better one; but apparently I was wrong! The last Hoffritz razor I bought has been with me for over 30 years, but the safety head is so worn and corroded that I can no longer easily use it. Since Hofritz was no longer in the safety razor business, I didn't know what to do; So I decided to just buy the best German made safety razor I could find and that's how I discovered Merkur (Dovo) razors. with sloping guide and longer "Barber's" grip (very tough). You know what? To my complete surprise, I received a safety razor that definitely surpasses the previously excellent Hoffritz safety razors that I have been using for over half a century! Not only do I like the Merkur 39C HD; I love it instead! The barber handle offers a very firm and comfortable grip, while the angled guide bar collects and removes stubble using only the weight of the razor! (You don't have to work extra hard to get an incredibly close (BBS)* shave.) All in all, I wish I had discovered Merkur/Dovo safety razors (what?) 25 or 30 years ago! There are many good designs in the Merkur line but I really like my 39C HD. This is a Merkur safety razor - the blade I'll be using for the rest of my life - I really, really like it!* BBS, "Baby Bottom Smooth".

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • Big and bulky
