Review on πŸ”„ Dorman 601-015 Inverter Cooler Water Pump: OE FIX for Toyota Models by Tim Wadman

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Took 3 months: engine cooling and air conditioning

I put this pump in and it only worked for 3 months. The problems started right out of the box. The pump is not the same as the one you pull out of your Prius if you have stock. This one has a much larger body. The problem with this is that it spits out an A93 code from time to time. You can turn off the device and then turn it back on and it works. It looks like there is a dead zone in the motor windings. I thought the pump was still ok because I could literally stop, unplug it from the pump body and then plug it back in and everything would be ok. I swapped the connector on the car because I figured that this pump I bought certainly won't be bad, and if it's bad, disconnecting and reconnecting won't solve the problem. Anyway, long story. I bought a Toyota pump, threw it away and haven't had a single problem since. You get what you pay for, just buy a $120 Toyota pump and save yourself the hassle.
