After 7 months of scalp problems, this finally solved the problem.

Due to the cold weather in my area, I usually have a dry scalp in winter. However, this year was the worst of all and for some reason my scalp stayed dry even when the weather got much warmer. I've also had a very itchy scalp this year, which has never happened before. I've tried so many shampoos, everything from Neutrogena T-Sal, Head and Shoulders, Tea Tree Garnier Fructis Shampoo, Aveda Scalp Balancing Shampoo, Exederm, Apple Cider Vinegar Conditioner, etc., and none of these products didn't work or only one fixed the problems (it got rid of dandruff but did nothing for my itchy scalp and vice versa). My scalp was itchy, flaky, red and irritated from scratching despite the warm and humid climate I was in. Sometimes I had a hard time falling asleep because it was very itchy. I decided to try this product as I saw that it was made specifically for dry and itchy scalps. I washed my hair with it for the first time and saw the result immediately. It doesn't say I'm supposed to shampoo twice, but I did it the first time because my scalp was still a little itchy after the first lather and I didn't feel much tingling from the tea tree oil. After my second lather, the menthol and tea tree oil immediately calmed all my itchiness and gave me that intense tingling sensation that I love about tea tree oil. I leave it on my hair for a few minutes before rinsing it out with cold water. And after letting my hair air dry I found my scalp was NOT itchy AT ALL and the dryness/flaking improved drastically (although not completely but I'm sure if I keep using it it will get better ). My hair is also lighter and softer which is great considering all the other shampoos I've tried have dried my hair out. I also like the herbal scent of this shampoo, a drastic improvement over the residual smell of the apple cider vinegar conditioner. Although I've only used it once I was too excited about the results not to write a review right away as I finally found a shampoo that soothes my dry scalp. I would definitely recommend trying this shampoo when in doubt, and it's relatively cheap compared to all the other expensive shampoos that claim to solve scalp problems.
