EDIT 9/14/2020: There has been no change in the color or material of the rug since I bought this rug. If you see and want this rug, you won't regret it. Make sure to clean it with a VERY slightly damp cloth and soap or something else and let it dry for an hour or two. I have had several gaming mats before but I think this will be my first real one due to the different traction feel. Not to mention a damn cool RBG LED. I'll start with RBG. I like to change things up and this mat offers different modes from one color to breathing and blinking. It's absolutely beautiful. Next comes size. I had to set up my gaming station as it was too big for a slide out keyboard. That's why the carpet in the photos is lying against the silver supports of my table. It's ok as I have plenty of space to use and I consider them "wings" ;) Another feel. The underside is rough and rubbery and does a very good job of preventing the mat itself from moving. The top is smooth. A bit rough, but actually smoother, I have no problem with that. I would suggest maybe getting a small wrist brace for yourself. As you can see, my hand is here. I only disagree as my keyboard and mouse are now higher up where they normally would be (on the slide out board where my PS4 sits now lol). All in all a good shot ;)
