My 6 year old is cute and easy to play with. I bought it in October when I first saw her ad and just gave it to her for Christmas. If I find that the battery only lasts 4-5 minutes, I would buy her something else. She loves it, she learned how to use it very quickly and it's great for releasing energy on cold winter days, but just playing with it for a few minutes has alleviated that. Edited to add, the power button is broken. Luckily during today's normal use it broke in the on position, so we'll just leave it on while charging and not in use. The game of the week was not worth the prize
