I've never used a buttoned vacuum flask that I enjoyed drinking from. For example, they give no indication of how hot the coffee is. I checked by pouring boiling water. When I put the cap on and let it sit for 10 minutes I noticed the cap was touching the bottle, it was slightly warm. After 10 minutes I measured the temperature at 198F. After 14 hours the temperature dropped almost 75 degrees to 124F. It's still a bit hot, and for my purpose of keeping something warm or cold for two hours, that's great. I'm taking him camping on the beach and will see how he fares in the real world next week.
