There was a slight delay before start. I installed this 6 volt turn signal on my 1972 Yamaha DT250. I was a bit confused at first, expected it to fire as fast as I turn on the turn signals, there is a flat tone at first, then it "beeps" and the turn signals work great, it flashes faster than you use again. The connector marked black is the power supply. My dirt bike has a weak 6v system with a tiny battery and it works great and the OD was the perfect size to fit the existing clamp that my old turn signals fit on. However, keep in mind that there is a slight 2 second delay before it starts to work. , you will first get a solid tone and then an on-off tone.
