cute jacket! best dressed

Reference: I'm 5ft 4in, weigh 130lbs, have a pear shape and wear a 34B bra. I ordered this jacket in a size S for me in maroon color. I am the one in the photos posted in my review. For my daughter (5ft 3in, 145lbs, 34D bra) I ordered a medium size in black. The small size suits me and the medium suits her. I tried on a medium size and it fit but was a little loose. If I want to throw a lot under my jacket I would order a medium size. The small size fits me with a thicker sweater underneath. Size M fits her with a thicker sweater underneath. We can't wear our bulky sweatshirts underneath, although in the current sizes we have it would be too tight to be comfortable. I have argued about calling the jacket "a bit small" but feel it is true to size. A few things to note: If you have very broad shoulders, you might want to go up a size. The jacket sleeves fit both my daughter and I, but for a tall person (let's say 5ft 8) I almost wonder if they would be a tad short. I guess I'm trying to say that if you're small and petite with narrow shoulders and don't plan on wearing a lot of clothing underneath, I think your normal size would be fine. If you are taller, have broader shoulders, long arms, large hips, a very long torso or a strong build, maybe 1 size up. I don't think going up a few sizes is necessary unless you want a really roomy fit. My medium daughter's size allows me to fit a thick sweatshirt underneath and it gives me a lot more freedom of movement. I prefer my burgundy size when it's small because I don't have to wear any clothes underneath this jacket. We live in the south. Okay, now onto the materials and stuff. The jacket is quite light. Somehow it holds the heat surprisingly well. It was 40F the next morning (too cold for us lol) and I felt great in a very thin sweater underneath this jacket. The flash works fine. Love the pockets and the fact that they have zippers. The material makes a little noise when moving. It doesn't necessarily look premium, but it definitely looks cute. This jacket is good for the price. It doesn't look cheap either. The quality is about comparable to what I would buy from Burlington which is good for my needs. I really like the burgundy color and my daughter really likes the black. Backstitches, everything looks very nice. I LOVE the fact that the armholes are hand closed at the ends to keep the cold out. I know a lot of people like to layer under their jackets and I know some women have bigger breasts and broader shoulders so I would recommend going up a size. For me, my normal size was ok. If you're looking for something made with excellent quality materials, I'd recommend spending a little more. For those looking for good quality for the price I would recommend this jacket. Recently, this is NOT a heavy down jacket. If you need a heavy down jacket, look elsewhere. I would call this a good light to midweight jacket. Looks cute and stylish, suitable for different outfits. Hope this helped someone.
