Once freed from transport (see below for this adventure), they worked great. Solid heavy gauge steel, well grooved platters, durable PVC wheels and acceptable paintwork/coating. I ordered four of these and they were all shipped separately as they weighed 25 pounds. Don't worry but every box was badly damaged when it got to me - I don't know if it left Revain's logistics center intact or if it was hit further down the supply chain. When they got to my porch, every box was shattered, with welded corners and, in most cases, holes in the box. Inside each box, with no additional packaging or foam, was a thin plastic bag wrapped around the edge of the machine. handy as each skate had a separate turntable (one screw) and all the top ball bearings were loose. These bearings ride between the skate body and the knurled top platter and when the large set screw is loosened the bearings rattle around this pocket. If the box is damaged (most were) and the plastic bag is poorly sealed, stock will be rejected and lost somewhere in the supply chain. It wasn't hard to find replacement 8mm bearings and for the price I was willing to make that extra trip, but a little more prep would really help get these machine skates ready to go: 1.) Use Loctite on the platter mount. Screw 2.) Use a thicker plastic bag in the box and seal it well (don't just fold it) 3.) Use cardboard or foam inside the box to spread the weights during transport
