I did a lot of body work and sanding. For some reason, I constantly smack my hand with a grinding wheel, and every time it takes a piece of meat with it. Deciding it was time to get smart and get some protection, I stumbled upon these highly cut resistant ones and gave them a try. When I first used it I was driving my truck and the engine was hot so I figured it would be a good test. They keep the heat off my hands pretty well, but if you leave it on a hot surface long enough you'll feel warm. Now I've tested it with my coffee grinder and it hit my arm once and didn't hurt me so yes it protects and no meat cuts are donated! Hope this helps and thanks.
