This is a VERY high quality cable and is perfect for connecting my Cayin N5 portable music player to the aux socket on my new Mazda CX-5. However, this cable does not match the picture. Shown is a 3.5mm TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) plug with two black standoffs; one between the tip and the ring, and the second black spacer is between the ring and the sleeve. I received a TRRS - Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve - connector (on both ends) which is commonly used for cell phones. The extra pin is used for onboard music playback control, answering calls, etc. I use Bluetooth to connect my cellphone to the car, so it doesn't really matter to me. I believe if someone had a cell phone that was not compatible with Bluetooth, they would choose this particular cable. Regardless of the connector configuration, this cable works great for me and plays music well (full stereo). I like the braid on the cable, although it's a bit stiffer than the unbraided cable. Highly recommended.
