Sock, most reviewers commenting on sizing seemed to say the shoe was too big. I also consulted with a link to Fit Advisor. After I answered questions, he recommended a size 9-1/2 C/D (wide). I looked closely at the width tips on the Skechers website and noticed that while these Gowalk 4 Kindles seem to fall into the normal (narrowest) Skechers category, my feet fall into the B/C category even in that rather narrow category (medium) fell shoes. Having also ordered Gowalk 3 slippers in a size 9B and found they looked good, had no width issues and didn't seem to have length issues, I ordered a size 9B in Gowalk 4. Big mistake. My right leg looked sleek and felt great; My left foot felt the toe box was short and the midfoot to toe area was too narrow. The husband said they seemed a little cozy. They left a dent in the arch of the foot. Then I checked the size given inside. The little equivalence table said: US 9, UK 6, EU 39. That goes for both Gowalk 3 and 4. EU 39 doesn't work for me. It might look good, but my fingers get tired when I bump into the end. I usually buy fashionable European shoes in size 40, also because they have a pointed toe and half-size shoes are not available. Some well-made, non-extreme shoes are sure to come in a size 39-1/2. I ended up returning the Gowalk 4 in US 9B and got a 9-1/2 B. I hope that works. On the way to my gray Walker 3, I bought a second pair, all black, in size 9. Comfortable shoes have evolved into gunboats due to the combination of black upper and sole. Not smooth like the black and pink Gowalk 4 which didn't fit but I almost liked. I also checked the fit of the gowalk 3. I actually found the left foot a bit short in a size 9, but I can feel comfortable with the extra width. I am returning the all black pair of Gowalk 3 size 9. The aforementioned Kindle 9-1/2B Gowalk 4 will be all black. We hope that the new size and color will solve the problems with both the size and the gunboat. Update as promised: The 9-1/2 Gowalk 4 shoes are too roomy. I tried them on my big foot (left) and the shoe felt a bit long in the toe and also wide. The biggest problem was the heel. My foot kept slipping from behind. True. It was half a size larger than what seemed too small. Another reviewer reported that the heel cushioning, which the Gowalk 3 had but not the Gowalk 4, did not improve heel fit. I found the opposite. The Gowalk 3's heel cushioning was essential to keeping the shoe on my feet and made my foot feel secure. Those gunboats didn't look like gunboats anymore. I think you'll like the Gowalk 4 if you have medium feet on the narrower side (width B) and like a smoother, more "normal" fit. I have the wider side but not quite C. (Skechers website has both medium widths). I find that the slimmer look doesn't fit or flatter my feet.
