Over the last few years I have owned and used the most famous amps on the market: Winegard LNA-200, RCA TVPRAMP1Z, Channel Master Titan and an old Archer variable gain. Some of them had a selectable FM trap. Be an engineer; I fully understood the location of the antenna, gain setting, components used, etc. When it comes to digital broadcasting, we deal with two parameters: signal strength (power) and signal quality. In my place (with the various amps mentioned above); I had no problems with the signal strength. These are random dips in signal quality that I've noticed on a few channels (UHF 38, 39, and 48). As you know; We perceive it as "pixelation", missing audio/video. I tried every variable available to me; Reinforcement, positioning, various amplifiers. Nothing helped with such random drops in quality. My tuner shows two separate bars for signal strength and quality. While both are 100% perfect; All of a sudden you start getting knocks on the quality of the signal - and after a while you have the perfect signal again. This has nothing to do with the weather as I've had them in all weathers. The first step was to switch to this GE amp. It really is extremely low noise, which allows me to receive more channels in much better condition (compared to others, some of which are three times the price). The product is manufactured by the Taiwanese company Jasco for GE. If you look at their website; They produce high quality electronic accessories for companies like Philips and GE. Interesting; there is no numerical technical information for specifications. You only mention "Low-noise amplification improves the signal-to-noise ratio", and I definitely agree with that. This really is the best performance compared to the above amps. Build quality is pretty good (design, included power supply, signal injector, even covers to cover RG6 connectors, included instructions, etc.). The product is very new; since it was only released in May 2019. At this price point, I believe this amp will quickly become the leader in its segment. It's so sad that Revain is mixing reviews of all the different GE products together. This Revain amp has 593 reviews. But if you actually go through all of those reviews for this genuine product; it's only a handful. In my quest to win at this drop in signal quality; Tried different filters. I tried the 4G/LTE filter (I thought nearby cell towers might interfere); No help. I tried the FM trap filter; No help. Then instead of fighting all hypothetical sources of interference; I was wondering if there is a VHF-UHF bandpass filter? Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/VHF-UHF-Band-Pass-174-214-470-700MHz-Special/dp/B07HQX5VT2/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=VHF-UHF+band-pass+ filter&qid =1566951674&s=gateway&sr=8-1 I actually bought it cheaper on another "Bay" website. He came from Slovakia. What does he do; it only passes VHF-UHF frequencies (so it helps against your local HAM radios and all). This improved the signal quality situation. But I still get softer drops from time to time. When we switch to 5G mobile network; We will probably have a hard time due to OTA TV signal quality interference.
