Review on 🐱 Amazon Basics Oval Cardboard Cat Scratcher Lounger: A Purr-fect Haven for Feline Claws and Comfort by Laura Hughes

Our cats LOVE this type of claw; We've bought MANY shapes and sizes and they all respond well. but NOT this one! :( I was dying to see how they would like the new, larger size as we only had a 12 x 12 from another seller. Unfortunately, from the moment I lugged this heavy box into my house, it gave off a SIGNIFICANT Odor.(It's been raining here lately but that was on a large covered porch and the box wasn't wet.) I was hoping the smell was just something on the box.Apparently the smell was coming from the product itself.None my cats did I do nothing today but sit on it although I sprinkled it liberally with catnip it is NOT normal I couldn't wait to log on to Revain to see what other customers have to say about the smell have to say but I haven't seen anything I'm wondering if this is something localized at my nearest Revain camp or is it a bad batch?
