Review on 🐾 Ideal Pet Products Deluxe Aluminum Pet Door: Telescoping Frame, Extra Large Size, White - 10.5" x 15" Flap by Barbara Khabeer

I bought it despite some reviews that almost scared me and I'm happy with it. The retractable door unit is considered fragile by some reviewers, but it feels solid enough despite being plastic. My dog is 75 pounds and I think if he accidentally bumps into them at high speed the door might break, but that's better than my dog's head. Some reviewers complained about drafts. This dog door doesn't have an airtight seal and don't expect one. No double door will be hermetic. Human doors only have airtight (or nearly airtight) seals because they open to one side of the door openings. There are double wing dog doors which would probably be better if you live in snow country (I don't). My installation advice is to understand that the cutting/drilling template that comes with it is fragile paper that moves when you push it against the door. It's just not very accurate in my opinion, especially if like me you're lazy and decide to install a dog door without removing the human door and laying it horizontally. I recommend taking your time, and before you make the next cut or drill the next hole, double check your pencil marks by pressing the door itself (not the template) against the door.
