This cat scratching post lasted from September 2017 to July 4, 2019. That day we rubbed catnip to calm the cats because of the fireworks. The first three photos were taken the next day. They tore it to pieces, pieces all over my living room floor! Neither side can now be used for its intended purpose. Throw it away and order a new one. However, this cardboard cat scratching post has outlasted 6 cats in almost 2 years. That's almost 12 cat years. It is very good! UPDATE: I ordered a new one. Photos and videos posted. As you can see, it's not interesting until you rub catnip in it! Also, it gives off a slight odor. Nothing special.
