Intex Seahawk 3, inflatable boat for 3 people Advantages and disadvantages first: Pro: This inflatable boat is actually a very good three-chamber boat. Ores are great for temporary use. But if you're looking for a good workout, they're great for that. I use mine for exactly this purpose. I row from one side of the lake, where the boat is launched, to the middle where there are many islands and snares that would tear up a larger boat. I'll anchor there and then swim 3 miles, let's call it a lap swim. The design is typical for Intex, everything has been thought of. You can buy their outboard motor mount from them at the stern. And if you buy their Intex electric trolling motor, it will be great fun to bring your family along. Cons: It's made of durable, puncture-resistant rubber (PVC). However, mine has started to leak water through the seams and into the air chambers. Looking closer, I discovered that the seam on both sides of the hull began to diverge underwater. Mind you this was my third time on the lake and one thing I learned years ago was never to inflate a boat on a dock or beach. Always inflate it while it is in the water. There are two main reasons why you keep inflating it in the water. 1. When you inflate the boat on land, there is a high possibility that it will catch on a stick or stone and the boat will break due to the air expanding the boat because the bottom is hot in summer, which makes these boats soft. 2. If you are lucky and don't damage the boat while inflating, you will find that it needs a little more inflation once you put it in the water. This is because the air in the pipes was very hot. Once you lower it into the water it cools the air in the tubes and the tubes themselves. Now for the reason I gave this boat only three stars. It seems that one of two things could happen. Ether Intex quality control is not as good as it used to be or I got a used or refurbished boat. The reason I mentioned it could be repaired is because the stitching under the fuselage was separating from where it appeared to have been repaired. with seam. And if that's true, then I paid for a brand new boat and got a refurbished one. This is very unethical, but many large companies that we have trusted for years now engage in this unethical and illegal practice. However, I hope this is not the case. But it was more than obvious that it was soldered, and then another seam was placed in the exact places where it was leaking. So when the air slowly escaped on one side, the other side sucked in water like a squirt. So I did an exchange through Revain where I received another Intex inflatable today. If this boat has no problems I will give you an update.! Oh, one more thing. This speaks of a three person boat, but once you've loaded all your gear into the boat there's really only room for two if you want to be comfortable. So I would buy a 70" x 46" swimline sunbathing tub from Revain. So you can place all your gear in it and carry it with you. At this point you could really fit a couple of adults and a couple of kids.
