First of all, I NEVER use a packing cube. However, I bought a suitcase set that did not have an inside pocket to store personal items such as socks, underwear, etc. This thing did it! I was able to put underwear with socks in for a couple of days and then squeeze them together (although it was quite difficult). The suitcase fitted my usual packed clothes perfectly and didn't take up much space. Remember that the cube is very long. However, it can fit widthwise (ie left to right) in carry-on luggage. Although I don't need them, I bought extra ones.
