My 3 year old has LOTS of problems at night. He's afraid of shadows. We have had at least 10 night lights in the last year. This is his favorite. I found it too bright but he likes it because it's so bright he can see what's around him. Previous night lights had simply cast shadows around his bed. He loves sleeping with him, which is fine because unlike the others (a certain Paw Patrol and the Iron Man he has), this one is soft, and if he lands on him in the middle of the night, he is no sound to be heard. Pains! The only issue we had was making sure we charge it every morning - it definitely won't go two nights in a row without a charge (unlike the little Ikea, which seems to be dimly lit under its pillow for days). Overall I find it ridiculously bright, my son (the only critic that matters) thinks it's absolutely perfect. He grabs it by the ear and carries it to the bathroom, he's given it a name and although he's basically still up all night, it's not because of the 'shadows' anymore.
