This is a fourth stage stool we bought for toddlers in the bathroom (potty training, rinsing to wash hands). We tried a folding stool but it took up too much space and we adults would constantly trip over it, we tried lightweight plastic stools that are advertised as being comfortable for your child and that slide and run when our child tries to get up. on them. It's quite small but very durable and works great. The only issue I would mention is that without the handrails we had a few minor falls, mostly trip hazards, but nothing resulted in injury. We have absolutely no room for a grab bar model in our small bathroom so we'll take good care of that, but if your child is really accident prone you might want to consider an alternative.
