Our 4 year old loved nothing but Hello Watermelon toothpaste so we bought some mouthwash too. They both taste like bubble gum, are fluoride-free, freshen your breath, and have compelling ingredient lists, but I don't recommend either. LO also uses a special toothpaste and is in the process of doing some repairs, sigh. But the plaque has gone away, he likes the taste, it cleans and refreshes perfectly. If your child's teeth are in good to excellent condition and you are concerned about fluoride and its common ingredients and your dentist shrugs your shoulders at the suggestion, this might be something you should try. If none of the above apply to your situation, see your dentist first, or at least try Hello's Blueberry Fluoride Toothpaste and one of their fluoride mouthwashes or another brand of fluoride before deciding to quit completely.
