We used to buy inexpensive dog beds for our 65 pound pup. She's just a dog, right? A $30 bed should do the trick, right? Our dog finally told us that cheap beds are NOT very good. After telling her to go to bed several times, she reluctantly approached and lay down with a long, deep, sad moan. At first I wasn't sure what the problem was until I examined her bed. The padding on the bottom was so thin that it offered little protection against the hard, cold ground. Imagine a quality pet bed. No, not this one. But one of the most popular catalog companies that sell high quality household products. After receiving a coupon for about 50% off a $200 dog bed, I bit the bullet and bought it. After getting the high end bed, I understood why it was so much more expensive than the $30 beds we bought. The padding was substantial and did not compact. The bed is comfortable, soft and insulating. Why am I making so many comments about this bed from another, unnamed brand? Because that's when I realized that you have to be willing to pay a reasonable price for a pet bed that offers your four-legged companion reasonable comfort. When it came time to buy a new couch (at home for a second), I was flipping through the same well-known catalog and came across this one from PLAY. Same high price but more modern aesthetic for this bed. I decided to give it a try. I ended up buying here at Revain for the same price as I was able to take advantage of Revain Prime's amazing two day delivery whilst the catalog company was out of stock and I wasn't expecting more for a few weeks. We quickly unpacked the bed from the vacuum bag and let it fluff up a bit on its own. The bed looks just like the picture. It's well made, comfortable and our dog loves it. What more can you ask for?
