Perfect size for my daughter. If you look at the photos you can see that it's not very high off the ground. So if someone falls down while sleeping, they won't get much hurt. (Yes I know it has splints but if your child is like mine they tend to move around while they sleep and can get to the end where they can roll down. She actually fell out the first night but to the Support and in bed and went back to sleep like nothing happened) I also photographed him next to our bed to show the difference in height. End bar where I got it wrong. I thought I put it through a fabric loop but apparently I didn't. The mattress has good support, so don't worry. She loves it. I was excited when it arrived but I had to wait for the mattress and I had to get my sheets before I could assemble it. When everything fell into place, she wanted to sleep immediately, but it was still too early. Lol it was easy to put together. The only problem I had was at the foot of the bed. The space between the board and the leg was a bit tight for my fingers to hold the piece in place while I turned the screw. The rest was easy. If my little one hadn't tried to "help", it wouldn't have taken me so long either. Lol I don't normally post pictures of my daughter for the public to see but thought it would help to show the height of the bed compared to a toddler her size.
