This folding book is ideal for newborns who are practicing lying on their stomach and exploring the world around them. The images on either side of this long chain of blocks are high contrast (mostly black and white) so even very young children are consumed by what they see. An added bonus is that it's filled with crumpled material that makes noise with even the slightest movement. Stuffed animals are just as good for kids because they can make their own noises! A small teddy bear and a mirror are also attached to the book so that the child can see his own face clearly while reading. The fabric is somewhere between rough and soft, but it rubs off easily when drool and other bodily fluids inevitably get in. Great gift for newborns!
