Mine arrived with a crack in the top corner of one panel. The seller responded very quickly and sent a replacement. I can't say for sure, but the material could very well be MDF, which is cheap, heavy, and easy to work with, but is non-structural and prone to cracking. I'd be willing to pay a little more if it was tenon joint hardwood, which is inexpensive, light weight, strong, and easy to work with. have to be rearranged. I would like the legs to be attached with t-nuts and machine screws for better stability and to get rid of this problem. UPDATE 90 DAYS: The first time our pup knocked it over, it broke. It landed on the plush carpet, but the wooden dowels were completely torn out of the joints in the frame in two places. For repairs I plan to use wood glue and steel repair plates but I cannot recommend this product due to the flimsy construction.
