Velcro lasts 3-4 months

We have bought these shoes twice but both times we know that Velcro (or velcro, idk if they are using a brand name) only lasts 3-4 months. My son wears orthotics that initially are too big for his foot (to allow him to grow into it) so we wear a multi-sized pair of shoes, which is probably longer than the average child. Because of the low price, unlike the Stride Rites, we can afford to buy multiple pairs of these shoes, so it's cost-effective. I have to say they match his insoles well (toe to heel) so I would recommend them for kids with wider feet or who need extra space for insoles. The combination of elastic and Velcro ensures a snug fit and support.
