After using various white plates from Wal Mart over the past 10 years, I'm glad to finally switch to Corelle. My parents are still using the same Corelle set they had when I was a kid and I hope they will be with me for many years to come. Our old plates were so heavy and prone to chipping that we had separate plastic plates for the kids. With them now we only need one set of dishes because they are light and strong enough that even small children can use them. There were so many patterns to choose from but I wanted something that wouldn't detract from the look of the colorful food on the plate and I'm very happy with the blue stripe pattern.
