Perfect for putting together those little elusive bastards, but there are 2 SMALL design flaws

I'm not a photographer to begin with. I mainly use SD cards to flash my iPod. Because you can replace the 1.8" hard drive in those old classic iPods with a special card from iFlash (with 1, 2 or 4 SD cards in tandem, or you can replace a CF card instead of the old hard drive). , depending on whether you're using a single, dual, or quad-core iFlash) I usually just wait until I have enough SD cards to load a device with more than 256GB of storage or a higher-capacity CF card to build before I buy parts to run the mod. Sometimes I get them in old Nintendo consoles, sometimes in cameras I can find for $5 at Goodwill, sometimes individually or sometimes in multiples. Anyway, I always have 5+ micro SDs, a CF card and 1-2 full size SD cards somewhere in my room that end up being lost terribly quickly. I bought it to keep all my cards in one place for the lowest price. I didn't need anything out of the ordinary because within a month or two they would still be at their final resting place. I will say it's good. Right now I have 8 micro SDs, a CF card, 4 micro SD to full size SD adapters and a full size SD card all stored there. That's enough for a maximum of two iPod classic and iPod mini plus a full-size rest for a random 4th gen 128GB build. And now I know they're still there when I buy the iFlash cards, especially since the case is so discreet that none of my family or friends dare "borrow" them when I'm not around. I'm deducting 1 star because there are 2 comments. (if it was possible there would be only half a star)1. Lost place! Between the Micro SD card slots are two large rectangular slots that could be EASILY moved for more card slots even if they were in opposite orientation. I don't know how many micro SD photographers have, but I'm sure I'm not the only one seeing this missed opportunity. I obviously don't use the battery compartments for their intended purpose (I slip in USB sticks instead), but I'd like to see a removable tray that offers more slots for those who prefer not to use it for batteries, I do don't think it will be difficult. It could be built into the bottom with styrofoam pads so the battery pack sits on it the same way. 2. The CF card slot is cool, but the damn flaps covering the card won't stay closed when turned upside down. You will hear a loud crack and worry that the case has (or will) open and all your cards will fall out and possibly be lost forever. Every time this happens I open it to check and everything seems fine. I'm not sure if the cards actually rattle, instead randomly falling back into place when turned right side up again, or if it just sounds like it, but it's a minor design flaw. Especially since it's pretty easy to accidentally turn the book upside down, which will ensure you show all your cards. All in all, for the $3.99 I paid I don't think there is a better choice. Maybe I should have gotten one of those 30 card mini binders as I doubt I'll ever need waterproof or battery slots, but at half the price these features are an added bonus. I would probably buy again (and probably will if I need more storage) for the same price.

Pros
  • Small size and large capacity
Cons
  • High price
