I can't stress enough that you should NOT buy this. "Person Up" and spend an extra $100 for a much better 3-axis "real" gimbal. Like you I thought I could make it cheap and even spent over an hour researching it and watching youtube reviews. Right out of the box I could tell I was going to have a bad experience. Firstly, despite the answers, this is NOT SUITABLE for Samsung Note (any model). I have a five and when I balance the phone it rests on a silver knurled grip. Going to s7 would fit right in, but finding the balance wasn't nearly as quick and easy as you'll see in almost every youtube review (they were all commissioned reviews, btw. Enough!). If I could get it to work from time to time, the difference in the stabilization feature compared to Samsung's in-camera auto-shake was only marginal. If you can't beat that price I would recommend a rig or hand weighed stabilizer.
