You don't have to spend $20 on a passport cover. This works 100% well. You slip the back and front covers into the slots and you have three TSA/GOES/travel card slots etc. I wish I had bought this sooner as my passport is pretty much broken already. I used to be able to just put my passport in my back pocket, but I can't anymore. You must find an alternative if you have done the same. That doesn't make the passport huge, but now it looks more like a small book. You can probably still put it in your back pocket, but it won't be as convenient.
