Although it's a bit quirky compared to my previous JVC camcorder, it shoots crisp video. I really dig the touchscreen. One of the nice things about this camera is that on some models the video gets blurry or shaky when you get really close. This camera seems to have been set up for this problem. Also, it was a lot smaller than I expected, but now I'm used to it. Panasonic still makes a quality product despite competition and lower prices. I think my wife and I made the right decision with the purchase. We mainly use it to film our son as he grows up. We bought a burner to fit this camera as suggested in the PDF. Instruction manual included. One more note; The camera records in AVCHD format, with a Panasonic recorder you have a choice of normal definition (standard DVD that can be played on all DVD players) or AVCHD, which can be viewed on Blu-ray. Pretty cool option. This camera works as advertised. What else do you need?
