They cushion, fit and feel as soft as Fruit of the Loom women's athletic socks, which are made almost entirely of polyester rather than cotton. They are almost all made of cotton. I tested it by stretching them. Stretchy like a cotton fabric. You stretch it and it won't return to its original shape until washed. They cost me $19.99 and shouldn't cost more than $10 with taxes. I bought three (3) 4 packs of 90% cotton at Walmart for $5 a pack. Walmart has a little more cushioning than these. These are good socks but they are not worth the price they are sold for compared to other non-organic cotton socks. For this reason I will not buy again. Nothing special,
