Big! with limitations

This mount works well with my Fire 7 phone or tablet, even with their cases. I can also charge them in the stand. I added a deck of cards to stabilize and reinforce the base on the wire shelf by my bed. For the same reasons, I asked my son to cut a piece of wood to line up the edge of the table next to the chair. See photos. Sure, there's a bit of teetering if you need to touch the screen a lot, but a quick touch to the side of the phone/tablet is enough to stabilize it. I don't think this can be avoided with a long arm holder. The notched, adjustable "elbows" have a full range for height and reach positioning, and the foldable (ambidextrous) last section near the cradle gives the flexibility needed to slide it forward so it faces me . On the back of the stand there is slight angle adjustment and full rotation (horizontal to portrait or diagonal). They don't slide. The husband looks at her with the idea of getting his own. I would recommend it if you have a 2 1/2" deep flat surface (clip length) to attach it to. Also remember that the angle cannot be changed from the clamp until you get the first one Reach "elbows" at about 14 1/2" from the bottom of the collar. Make sure it works for your situation. There's no escaping this right-angle clamp/lever. Due to the notched swing arm elbows you have however, the ability to rotate your hand toward or away from the clamp. I almost had a der-da-der moment about that!Edit: the hand support tube can now rotate in the clamp, making it easier to position the hand and to move to the side when you stand up.The locking sleeve is not affected and stays tight.
