In general, I'm not sure heat shrink connectors are good practice, although I liked the idea. After using another brand I was looking for something better. That's because the heat shrink seems to be smaller than the other brand and I'm already having issues. This is a general look at the concept of this style of terminal1. When crimping a cable lug with conventional crimping pliers, the heat-shrink tubing can break2. The shrink tubing can slide back and expose clamp 3. Sometimes it's difficult to get a good crimp that will pierce through the wire where you used the right size. A tighter crimp may cut the heat shrink tubing.4. Bullets don't always grip tightly when nested. I believe a nylon coating and then using heat shrink tubing may be a better choice as you are less likely to break through the protective coating.
