I have the same issue as many with the Elite Controller. The rubber grips have started to peel off. Only mine came off at the very back of the controller, not the part where there is a replacement. I dabbled with this for a while and finally decided to try these grips. Pros - very comfortable to hold. This did not increase the volume of the controller. I really think this grip feels better than the controller top finish and the old grips. I would say that I like some of the controllers a lot more now. They don't interfere with the paddles on the back, but I removed the old handles from the back. If you leave the handles at the back I think they might get in the way of the oars. Cons - as others have said, there is a very distinct chemical smell. I don't smell it when using the controller, but my hands get sticky after using it. However, it goes away. I hope it goes away with time. Just take a look. I have pens for about 2 weeks. It's still pretty strong. I had to apply and reapply several times to get the right hold. I still don't think it's right, but good enough. They are clearly not for the elite, although the description says so. I had to trim the grips so they didn't cover the rear of the trigger arms. Overall I am happy with these grips. In my case it worked and I would recommend it as a cheaper alternative to buying a new high end controller. They are also suitable for a normal Xbox controller. They strongly interfere with the headset adapter.
